About 8-11 percent of the patients on this drug become intolerant of the side effects, and then it is necessary to convert to an Angiotensin II Receptor antagonist (Cozaar). Because of inividual response, it is difficult to impossible to predict which drug is better for your specific circumstance.

Both are ACEI, so it now depends on how you react to the medications. Lisinopril is used more in my facility, that could only be because the cardiologist perfer it though. Both are good.
