She should seek medical advice urgently, first and foremost as you probably know high blood pressure amongst other things can put you at risk from stroke or heart attack. These chest pains MUST be investigated now! I can t emphasise this enough. The best thing to do, ONCE she has been assessed and told it is safe to do, is exercise...walking at a brisk pace or swimming are the best forms of exercise. Diet is another important factor. Lots of vegetables and very little fat particularly of the meat variety...therefore, chicken without the skin, beef are better than pork or lamb or goose! Smoking is the next hazard. If she smokes, she should stop. Finding time to relax is important, not stressing out over things. I hope this helps, and I hope so makes that appointment today! Best wishes.
She need a v. low fat diet and preferably no salt - there is enough naturally present in food to meet the requirement of the body (unless she does lots of exercise and sweats alot) Might taste bland but it beats having a stroke. She should see a doctor and a dietician to get the best advice for her to bring down her blood pressure - simply going on tablets is not enough. Modified diet, gentle exercise, and trying to reduce stress levels are all part of taking responsibility for your own body
One of my friends was taking $150 a month worth of prescription blood pressure pills in order to maintain his high bp. Somebody told him about fish oil capsules. He started on them about 2 weeks ago and has cut his prescription meds in half. DO NOT take your mother off any medication. Consult her personal doctor before trying anything, but fish oil is a great natural remedy for HBP.
She should cut down on her salt intake Eat 5 portions of fruit a day and try little exercises
Exercise.....go for long walks....hiking . Cut down on oily, fatty and salty foods.....Also seek doctors advise......There are prescribed drugs that help lower BP. Good Luck
I could suggest lots of things to help, but I recommend your mother sees her doctor, or visits her local A amp; E department.
first of all she needs a doctor, she should be on medication, secondly a healthy low salt diet and exercise even just walking. Go to a doctor and they will give you the best advice. Good luck sweetie.
Medication to help her lower her blood pressure and reamining strees free is important.. I hope you realize that high blood pressure leads to strokes. PLEASE KEEPO MUM CALM.....follow the doctors advice. Make sure she takes her medication...there is nothing more you can do that that
If you want her to try out some home remedies you may perhaps wish to visit this website which I found very informative and useful. http://ailments.in/hypertension.html
First and foremost, Your mother being a serious high BP patient, should consult a good Medical Practitioner and get his advise. Other things like change in life style, exercise, food control, mental peace will contribute for the reduction of hypertension. Hypertension is a condition which needs continuous and proper treatment. If properly treated your mother can enjoy normal health. Very Best Wishes.
Go to the doctors.... they prescribe medication for hypertension. two or less for people with mild well controlled hypertension, but it sounds as though your mum could do with more! She needs to change her diet and eat very strick healthy diet, or she could have a heart attack.
