I myself have not been through menopause, but I am a mammographer and also do bone density exams. I have met a lot of people that hae transitioned into menopause smoothly without needing any type of HRT. Everybody is different though. You need to check out the options with your doctor. Outweigh risk vs. benefits. Your doctor will help you find what is best for you. If you re not having any problems, then you should just let things be until you need. Good luck with your transition. It should be a happy thing!

Questions on Menapause.? -
At what point is High Blood Pressure too high? -
I don t know anything about this Jacqui, but here s a chart I found that it pretty helpful. It looks like you are in the moderate stage 2 headed for severe at the BP you gave. :( diastolic is the measurement of your blood pressure when the heart is resting (between heart beats)...I don t think they go up and down in sink. I think you re okay for tonight, but might want to visit the doctor tomorrow if it doesn t go back down to your normal. Here s some more info: http://blood-pressure.emedtv.com/diastol...
High blood pressure: Also known as hypertension, high blood pressure is, by definition, a repeatedly elevated blood pressure exceeding 140 over 90 mmHg -- a systolic pressure above 140 with a diastolic pressure above 90. Chronic hypertension is a quot;silentquot; condition. Stealthy as a cat, it can cause blood vessel changes in the back of the eye (retina), abnormal thickening of the heart muscle, kidney failure, and brain damage. For diagnosis, there is no substitute for measurement of blood pressure. Not having your blood pressure checked (or checking it yourself) is an invitation to hypertension. No specific cause for hypertension is found in 95% of cases. High blood pressure is treated with regular aerobic exercise, weight reduction (if overweight), salt restriction, and medications.
140 / 90 amp; above is high - but yours is really high - have you skipped any meds today? eaten something very salty? you maybe retaining fluid also..... check your legs amp; ankles (HCT) is a diuretic to flush out fluids if you check your BP too soon after a meal it will be elevated lie or sit quietly for about 30 minutes then check your BP again - your BP can shoot up suddenly for lots of reasons - but it becomes dangerous when it remains high or uncontrolled for extended periods of time (like days or weeks) check your BP before bed again tonight amp; then in the AM when you get up if its still off the chart - call your doctor - your meds might need adjusting
175/115 is pretty high. You need to contact your doctor tomorrow and let him/her know. Is the medication new? If so, the MD may try some other medication such as atenolol or another. You need to be extra careful and go to the ER if you start experiencing severe headaches, chest pain, shortness of breath, sudden onset of blurred vision or ringing in the ears along with that blood pressure. Keep monitoring it
That is too high, try to sit down, small deep breaths and just say to yourself, Clear the Mechanism, with closed eyes, this really works, continue to say it, till you clear your mind....trust me it works.... it just brushes all out of your mind, no its not stupid at all. it works for meditation, and will bring your blood pressure down. Legit::right now, that is way too high.......ask your doctor to see if he will put you on Diovan 320mg.......this med really works well, I am on it and my blood pressure runs 124/.78 this is good.....but if I don t take that one pill per day, it will go up some, I am tiny, but ever since I got diabetes 23 yrs ago, high blood pressure at the same time.. hope you get to feeling better, high blood pressure will also give you heart bumps and headaches, so relax as much as you can, and call your doctor. get to feeling better okay, good luck
I be feeling fine, then I go to the doctor and have BP 175/115. Everybody goes into shock. But, It happens often. Man get yourself straight. If symptoms occur go to the ER. I don t what to tell you. We must take better care of ourselves
Why don t you take a couple of aspirin and sit and rest.......try not to worry.......your plenty high.......but not outrageous. Did you eat anything like chinese foood with a lot of salt tonight. Good luck and relax
At THAT point. 175/115 means you are ready to have a stroke or heart attack at any moment. If that is what it really is, you need to go to the emergency room.
yeah thats a little to high to leave untreated. I would see a dr.

I think its a normal finding but I could be wrong. Many people are born with just one kidney.

Childhood obesity? -
The problem starts at school cafeterias. They eat pizzas, hamburgers, and other high fat foods that contribute to obesity. There are no healthy alternatives. Not to mention that most kids don t get enough exercise after school. Most kids play video games all night which also contribute to obesity. Also, 90% of what you find in a grocery store is garbage. If you re a label watcher like I am, you ll notice that everything has high fructose corn syrup or is made with enriched flour. Both of these ingredients are poison to the body. Lastly, I blame childhood obesity on two working parents. When both parents are overworked and tired, the easiest thing to do is to stop at McDonald s to feed the family. I see a long line of cars at every fast food drive thru every single day. This is probably the main reason kids are fat now; they are not getting a home cooked meal.....you re welcome!
The reason is that the info you are being given is not correct. Low fat normally means high sugar (either simple or in the form of complex carbs, but still ends up as sugar). Go back a hundred years and see what people ate - Lard, dripping, butter, cream, raw milk, cod liver oil, organ meat. Obesity, diabetes, and heart disease (all syptoms of the same problem) were not prevelant. Now we eat highly processed grains, margarine, highly processed vegetable oils, People feed their children low fat thinking it is good for them, when lipids are important for brain health. Instead they get processed crap loaded with toxic addatives. Obestity, diabetes, CHD,cancer, mental disorders and anti social behavour abound, and continue to get worse Quite simply the advice given is aimed at making profits for large food manufacturing companies, not what is best for our bodies http://www.westonaprice.org
When they learn temper tantrums=more snacks they get silly ideas, most parents think they re being nice when they give treats every half-hour. It s basically poisoning them.
Mcdonalds, burger king, pizza hut, soft drinks, and lazy parents who no longer cook or monitor what their children are doing.
Doctor s will advise a good diet for children, but few kids get it. Most are fed over processed food (often very high in fat and sugar). Kids drink to much sugar laden drinks that also cause the problem. Then to top it all off they don t exercise (physical play). It is the combination of all these things that is causing obese kids.

How would i use the nursing process within the community for this patient? -
In her stats, it is obvious that she has some breathing issues. Her B/P is a little high, she has diabetes as well. Is she overweight? She is also taking aspirin - hopefully under a doctor s supervision - so I wonder if she also has CHF. There must be a home-nursing service in the area and perhaps they could come once a day to be sure that the meds are being used correctly and keep track of the Diabetes, CHF and COPD. The state offices can recommend a nursing service if she is low-income. Good luck.
I know that this is your homework and it is time consuming, but it is so very important that you do it and learn how the nursing process works. Look up nursing process in Wikipedia ... it wil help you to understand it and what you need to think about to answer this question. I don t think that Yahoo answers is really the best place to ask a question that is technical and involves a complex answer, as this one certainly does !
Regarding my Blood pressure? -
They (health professionals) are getting to the point where they would like your blood pressure 110/70. given your family i would see your family doctor and have him/her follow it up :)
I had 187/110 you will survive. I am on a hypertensive drug now and mine is great. You are 21 and I don t know weight of You so to Me it looks fine.
Whats so bad about salt? -
they are worried about the sodium, and hypertension - as you know. SOME kids do have hypertension. but the real reason they want to reduce salt in kids food is so they won t develop a taste for it, which would lead to them using more and more salt as they age. If they are used to the taste of unsalted food, there won t be the increasing salt use.
There has never been ANY link proven between salt and high blood pressure. Salt is very necessary to the functions of your body - you can overdo anything of course. Having children on low salt diet to me sounds like dangerous nonsense.
They were talking about table salt. I recommend sea salt Redmond Brand. You need to make sure it s not from polluted water. Anyway, most people feed their kids junk food which has way to much salt(table).....so, you don t need to give them extra. All of that food store chemical food has depleted manufactured salt. Sea salt however, is healthy. Try to buy foods in a health food store that when they have salt it is sea salt. Check out the health benefits of sea salt on the web. When I get a muscle pull I put a teaspoon of sea salt into a half a glass of water, since it gives you minerals the muscle pull goes away within minutes! It s a life saver!
Salt raises blood pressure so u are more likely to suffer from strokes, cardiac arrests etc. I have low blood pressure though so wherever i go i carry a sachet of salt with me in case i feel weak. It all depends on the person. Older people are advised to eat less salt than children because they are more prone to heart attacks etc. But salt effects children in the same way so its better if they do have high blood pressure to cut it out. Its all to do with whats hereditary. Hope i helped!
The key factor in salt is the Sodium (N), it is bad for you to take in to much of this, and you can feel the effects in things such as your hands when you have to much sodium in your system. The Chloride (Cl) isn t really the problem so much...
no, it is NOT fat. it can raise your blood pressure like crazy though and put you at risk for more heart diseases. my dad and grandfather has a heart disease and when I was seven years old my dad s doctor told my parents to make sure they watch how much salt I eat. the more you salt things when you re a child..the more you ll do it when you re older.
I think too much sodium can possibly create an imbalance of the fluids in ANYONE S body...child or adult, as well as contribute to the contraction and relaxation of muscles.
raises blood pressure and kills your liver. When you go to a restaurant and pile ur food with salt thats STUPID they already have salt in it and its really bad for you, same with any other food.
Too much will kill you. It ll raise the blood pressure and an individual is 3x more likely to have a heart attack or a stroke
well salt is basicly all fat and it raises blood preser and it clogs some arteries if there is too much but i dont think some will kill you or anything
all it is is fat!

Epilepsy? Do I Have It? -
It had to have been hypertension. I have epilepsy myself. Never has my b/p gone sky high like that while having a seizure. I don t have headaches at all I can t ever tell when one is coming on. So not all seizures are associated with headaches people have all different kinds of quot;aurasquot; as doctors call them. Of course it is virturally unnoticable! I have lost my drivers license twice due to this but I don t consider it a set back or anything. I work full time now have a great job, I look at it as I have epilepsy but it doesn t have me! Go to the doctor if you are in any doubt they will run some tests!
possible hypertenision, if you have another one, see a neruologist. asap. my younger brother had them when he was younger. if somebody is timing it, make sure that they dont go over 2 minutes if they do call an ambulance. dont overly stres about it though.
Two days ago my fiance was diagnosed with epilepsy. I am going to assume you went to the hospital for your seizure. They will run an eeg and an ekg where it will run the waves of your brain and see if it is abnormal of a typical person. You will have to meet with a neurologist who will give you the results. Best of luck, medication can completely stop your life, so you have to make sure it doesn t get out of hand. Hopefully you live in a medical marijuana state like we do because it is one of the only known medications of epilepsy that will not stop your life. Your friends are lucky that the medication does not debilitate them.
BRAIN STEM HAEMMORHAGE? -
Ask the nurse assigned to your aunt. The doctors who are caring for her will know her exact condition. If you cannot actually visit Aunty in the hospital, call a family member who is with her, and see if your aunt will let the doctor explain it to you on the phone. She might not be able to talk because of the breathing tube used during surgery. She might not be allowed to walk because the doctors want to give healing time to the incision sites, and time for drainage before letting her up and around. Don t get too worked up about it, seek out medical advice before jumping to conclusions.

My mom is 60 and has been healthy, but she her systolic pressure has been elevated.? -
You are correct many cases have high systolic BP, but it comes down with time, however an anxiety pill solvers the problem. I have come across several and they do very well e.g 180/80mm Hg, the patient didn t have a good night sleep, your doctor will come out with the solution.
Hypertension (high blood pressure) can be genetic so this could be the case with your mom. That being said, she is doing the right thing by trying to control it through lifestyle changes... being healthier overall is a good thing! Her doctor may try her on a different medication. Some additional information can be found here: luck to you and your mom.
The mean blood pressure is a lot more important than just the systolic. As long as the medication has decreased her mean pressure, and her systolic is within acceptable range, her risk of complications is low.

What could cause someone with autoimmune disorders to be unable to eat for months without vomiting or diarrhea -
Before I was diagnosed with SLE (systemic lupus erythematosus) with nephritis, I went through a lot of things... including loss of appetite and weight. I found out that it was because of my going anemic and the introduction of Celebrex only worsened my condition further by having hairloss, nausea, and my poly-articular arthritis remained unrelieved. Mere scent of cooked rice or a small gulp of water were enough to make me throw up, so I can very well relate to your friend where the lupus-side is concerned. Medications for most autoimmune diseases can wreak havoc in one s stomach. Those combinations, more often than not, have side effects that cause increased/decreased appetite, nausea, diarrhea, fainting spells, photo-sensitivity, tender muscles, osteoporosis, bone problems, skin problems, etc. All these I have experienced already. Tell your friend to change doctors if she feels she s not getting enough help to her many conditions. Most specialists would either dismiss or up the ante for people with autoimmune diseases, and that s not helping anyone. As for her loss of appetite, it might help some salt-free soda crackers with sugar-free fruit spreads. Herbal tea with no sugar or lemonade. Cranberry juice is also a good one. Flavored water may be acceptable as well. And, if she can lessen her potassium-rich food (potatoes, bananas, mangoes, papaya, peaches, cantaloupe, oranges) intake, it can be helpful as well. Good luck and I hope your friend gets better soon. Also, tell her to seek God s help through prayer and meditation. :)
She may need to be tested for Crohns disease. Immediately.
Hi, I m sorry that your friend is so very sick. people with lupus and autoimmune disorders have many overlapping conditions that make you feel worse and the medications have many side effects from swelling to weight loss and loss of appetite to constant eating. Gluten sensitivity and Celiac Diesease is also an autoimmune disorder that your friend should start a discussion with her Rheumatologist about. Also, if she is taking any type of vitamin supplement, her doctor should know because it all has an interaction when combined with her regular meds. Keep communicating with her Rheumatologist open and keep on top of this. You are your best advocate, no one will do this better than you. Good luck.
You mentioned many possible causes for your friend s loss of weight, including starving herself with only a bowl of cereal and a glass of juice. No wonder she lost weight. By the way, her weight loss could be linked to anorexia or schizophrenia, sometimes brought about by a severe rheumatic disease. Lupus is extremely serious, potentially deadly. It can be treated with antibiotics, just like any other rheumatic disease. Rheumatic diseases are the result of a defective gene and collagen inflammation, often from a chronic infection. Collagen is present throughout the body, from the eyes, skin and joints to the heart. Hence, the multiplicity of symptoms, depending on the location of the most affected internal organs or body parts. I have had seronegative rheumatoid arthritis for more than 27 years. The telling signs of seronegative rheumatoid arthritis are the following: - Joint pain in the feet (or cracking ankles) in the early 20 s or late teens; - Fatigue, especially after a moderate exercise like a 30 minute walk; - Blood test showing a negative or low level of Rheumatoid factor; - Joint deformities of the fingers, after a few years, a specific sign of rheumatoid arthritis; - Consecutive X-Rays, over several years, showing bone erosion, a consequence of rheumatoid arthritis; - Generalized arthritis, involving the whole body; - Elevated levels of C-Reactive protein and Sedimentation rate, as evidenced in blood tests. NSAIDs like Voltaren, COX-2 inhibitors like Celebrex, acetaminophen like Tylenol, and codeine are all used to control inflammation and relieve the pain of arthritis. Regular exercise like walking, biking and swimming is also helpful for most patients. Make sure that your friend is not overweight as carrying too much weight can only increase the pain of arthritis in the supporting joints of the hips, knees, ankles and feet. For any form of arthritis, your friend should consult an Orthopaedist who will order blood tests, joint scans and X-Rays to better diagnose the type of arthritis from which she suffers. The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons at maintains a public online directory where you can find the address and phone number of orthopaedists who belong to the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Orthopaedists are listed by geographic location and family name, inside the USA and in most countries. The membership directory of the AAOS is located at: disease could be a possibility. Ask the doctor to test your friend for the bacteria causing Lyme disease. Are there any other cases of arthritis or rheumatic diseases among your friend s relatives? Chronic forms of arthritis are usually prevalent in families where a defective gene is passed on by parents to their children. There are a few hundred types of arthritis and rheumatic diseases. The good news is that science is progressing rapidly in its understanding of rheumatic diseases. Antibiotics are now used to achieve full remissions for at least 40%, if not 65% of patients with rheumatoid arthritis. For more info, your friend should join our group at: http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/ant...
She needs a complete work up to see whats going on. She may have hidden allergies that are contributing to her problems. She could have all sorts of deficiency s that are contributing to her problems. She really needs a full team of doctors searching for all the possible connections between her health issues, treatments , and yes maybe her psychological issues that may be causing this.

Cardiac or Psychiatric review? ER scenario (Med students).? -
Well my answer isn t going to be 300 words, I ll leave that to you. His cardiac symptoms have not been adequately evaluated. Perhaps he needs to have a stress cardiolyte.. His BP and heart rate are high and of great concern. I would do a work up for the cause of his hypertension. You state he is calm and but his BP swings from quite high to normal. I ve seen this before in patients who have phenochromocytoma, a tumour on his adrenal glands.Since he has had a prolonged episode of chest pain why didn t they draw bloodwork and check his cardiac enzymes. They should of done a Troponin test at least. To send him home without doing that is negligence. He should also have a CBC done incase he is anemic. His inferior Q wave changes are a source of concern, did he have a previous MI. He hasn t had an echocardiogram to look for any structural problems with his heart or a stress test. The stress test would be difficult because of his high heart rate, they could try a stress cardiolyte..Anxiety can be a normal reaction to his physical symptoms and the Valium just helped to relax him. Since his angiogram was quot;normalquot; I can understand why the cardiologist ruled out any problems with his heart but he could have syndrome x or (it s a stetch), coronaryartery spasm. He has been diagnosed with IST perhaps he should be reffered to a cardiac electrophysiologist for assessment of this problem. There are no ecg changes of ischemia on the ecg. Regarding psych, only after he has had all investigation of his cardiac problems. I am not familiar with a refferal for quot;Cardiac Reviewquot; He does have a documented arrythmia and unstable BP so yes, it sounds like he needs all the suport he can get to be less anxious. He has a documented arrythmia which I feel is made worse by his anxiety. I would not discharge him without knowing the results of at least 2 sets of cardiac enzymes are negative. Q waves are also important because they indicate the possibility of an old myocardial infarct. He should be closely monitored by his family Dr,who should investigate his hypertension symtoms.Take care, Donna
id be worried re a Pulmonary Embolus causing his tachcardia and Q waves

We control diabetes with a combination of carb counting, portion control and diet, exercise and medication. There will be normal fluctuations in levels every single day.The goal is to keep in within a normal range. As I am not a doctor, I can not make medical decisions for others.

Thats too much of an increase not to see a doctor. Your not taking steroids are you? Having trouble breathing or tightness in chest muscles. Dude, go see your doctor; he has the answer.

I had no clue my bloodpressure was high until I ended up in the hospital needing emergency surgery. I had an aortic aneurism and nearly died. You need to see your doctor. That s the only way to be completely sure about what your problem might be. Trust me on this one.

You really really need to go to a grief counseling support group. there are usually free or lo cost groups in every county. If you are a Senior, they may go better, as the young widows are not there so much for counseling as to hit on a lonely man. Maybe that would be your best bet. You MUST LETthe tragedies go. It is not up to OTHER PEOPLE to make you happy, This is going to be up to YOU. Plan out your new life and get on with it. Crawl out of that hole. Just get outside and do something.
One thing that my grandfather took for almost 50 years to help lower his blood pressure was bugle, also known as carpenters weed, sickle wort or middle comfrey. He would make tea out of the leaves and some times also from the roots. There are a few different varieties but it doesn t really matter which one you use. Bugle can also be used as a mild laxative analgesic helps allays coughs and irritations helps rheumatism and can also be used as a mild narcotic. I hope I was of some help.Take care.
My sympathy for your losses. Cider vinegar (not cider flavored) helps reduce blood pressure. Drink 1/2 - 1 ounce daily. You ll cry when you re ready. Maybe people aren t calling because they don t know what to say and are afraid of appearing shallow.
ok now stop there!! there is a lot of self pity going on here! no onewants to be with someone whos always down as you seem to be! i myself have been through a lot in the last three years, i lost my husband to brain cancer and 6 months later i got breast cancer! while my husband was ill we got married in the hospital chapel a very emotional time, BUT, i made sure i tried to lead as normal a life a possible! our 10 year old daughter was bridesmaid and during the last few weeks of his life both my daughter and i LIVED in the hospital as we didnt know how long he had left a he developed double phnemonia! i had to get my daughter off to school from the hospital or she had to stay with friends, this was a very disruptive time for my child but as i said we tried to live as normal a life as possible, from what i can read from the first few lines of yours is that you dont seem to want to give out to people but want people to come to you??! durung the time my husband was ill i still did my best to help my local church with a charity event that ive always helped on, and even kept up with my aromatherapy classess giving my husband palitive treatment, as my test case, with approval from him and the Drs! I suggest you get out more and give something back ! go and get a session of reiki teatments its a wonderful way to reduce blood pressure, sorry if im preaching here but i think you need to go and visit your friends and not expect them to run after you! show some independence!
AYahoo search for quot;high blood pressurequot; + quot;natural remediesquot; will help you. Besides garlic, fish oil and hawthorn there are quite a few others that you will come across in the above search.
First of all I am sorry that you are going through and I will keep you in my prayers. It is very hard when things seem to come down all at once. It sounds that you are grieving in your own way, but crying is only one way of release. I think people have distanced themselves to give you time to heal, and because they are lost for words. Your body s natural response has resulted in your increased health problems. None handles death! It is something you must look to God and ask Him to carry you through. Each time we go through a test in life we should come out stronger and more knowlegeable in the lessons we are taught through the experience. I have a whole list of things that I can give you that will help with yours symptoms, but the best one I have found works on depression, as well as blood pressure, and other health issues. Check it out for yourself: http//jwtpowerfuljuice.gomangosteen.net

I received 2 wildly disparate diagnosiss, how can people hear the same thing have such different answers? -
Quite often it takes more than one visit to make a differential diagnosis. These doctors probably only made a preliminary diagnosis. I hope you will be able to choose one and trust that as the doctor gets to know you, a more accurate diagnosis will be made. Best Wishes to you.
Now, is the competent doctor the one who gave you the long or short answer? I d say that if Dr. Incompetent is the one you can get, while Dr. Competent isn t, you might need a third opinion. I hope this helps! ~C
From the information you have provided, it seems as though the second list of diagnoses is probably more accurate. However, every psychiatrist may have a slightly different feel on what a patient s diagnosis is, depending on how the pt. presents themselves at that time. Clients with BPD often have quot;accidentalquot; suicide attempts. They have no true intent of committing suicide. This is simply an attention-seeking behavior. Example: A client will overdose on a cocktail of pills and then call for help once they have done so. There are some incidents where the person will not get help in time and consequently die. Clients who suffer from BPD often struggle with substance abuse issues. Antisocial and borderline personality disorders are axis II diagnoses. The major depressive DO would be an axis I diagnosis. I am assuming you are referring to bipolar disorder and ADHD as the psychiatric flavors of the month - unfortunately they are sometimes used for insurance billing purposes. The GAF of 20 is exceptionally low, as an ideal GAF is approximately 80 or above.
Just curious if you have tried bi-polar meds? They are far different than say prozac. Bipolar meds are mood stabilizers such as lamotrigine or lithium, infact if a bipolar person takes something like prozac it can actually provoke suicidal tendancies. There are many meds to try, but it sounds very much like you need to talk to a therapist regularly to talk as well to keep you focused. Unfortunately I know nothing about Gateway or how it works, I live in Canada. You are going to have to be your own advocate it sounds like and contact perhaps mental health facilities and ask lots of questions on what your options are there. I really hope you find the answers you are looking for.

Can stress cause you to act less like you, sort of bipolar, etc.? -
honey these are symptoms/signs of bipolar. how do i know i have been bipolar for 9 years(since my mother died) and im just 16. so my best advice i can give you is talk to your parent(s),tell them you need help, tell them you want to talk to someone or go a psychiatrist(nothing wrong with that) just be open and honest with them and im sure they ll support/stand behind you 100%. Yes stress can be a BIG part of it to but just to be safe go to the doctor and see if are bipolar.
yes! these are bipolar symptoms. your mom is right, go to your psychrtiist--get counseling, and meds to help control the symptoms. it s hard for family to live with a bipolar person. i know; i m one.my family and myself dont know how take my angry outburst-or mood swings. i hate myself for this--but i have to keep taking my meds religiously amd see my psychologist--for the last ten yrs. we feel like no one understands us; and sometimes we dont know ourself. hang in there please.
Doctor for stress/depression? -
A selection of treatments follows, because circumstances, and individual preferences vary. See stress treatments, at ezy build, below in section 42. A certain level of stress is unavoidable, in modern society, so it is a good idea to develop effective coping methods. For others, or yourself: A massage (at least neck and shoulders) with jasmine, lavender, juniper, and/or bergamot, or German chamomile essential oils added to the massage oil, and to a warm bath, preferably beforehand, to help make any tension knots and muscles more pliant (they may only want, say, a juniper and/or bergamot and/or sandalwood mix: check first). I am aware of advice that strong heat, applied to essential oils can damage them, and so I would not use a diffuser. See if they will do long, stretching yoga exercises, or t ai chi with you (see section 2, at ezy build, below). Practise daily, one of the relaxation techniques on pages 2, 11, 2c, or 2i; whichever works best for you, but the mindfulness breathing for 15 - 20 mns is ideal, although the progressive muscle relaxation can be learned quickly, and takes only several minutes, if pressed for time. Employ the EFT version for use in public, for which you can reasonably claim that you have a headache, as you massage/tap your temples, but it may be advisable to restrict yourself to subvocalising (saying it to yourself, in your mind, not aloud). Section 53, and pages 2, 2.q and 2.o refer. quot;Even though I sometimes suffer from stress, I deeply and completely accept myselfquot;. (The following is a variant of EMDR: Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy, which has been used successfully for those people suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, insomnia, and anxiety: it is easily learned, quick to use, yet can be very effective. It is easy to be dismissive of such a seemingly unusual technique, but give it a good tryout, for at least a few weeks, to see if it is effective in your case.). Prior to using either of the methods in the above paragraph, first sit comfortably, and take a deep breath. Then, without moving your head, move your eyes from the left, to the right, and back again, taking around a second to do so (say: quot;a thousand and onequot;: this takes approximately a second). Repeat this procedure (without the words, although you can count, subvocally, if you like) 20 times. Then close your eyes and relax. Become aware of any tension or discomfort you feel. Then open your eyes, and take another deep breath, and repeat step one, closing your eyes, and relaxing afterwards, in the same manner. Then, repeat the procedure one last time. Some people may find that this is all they need do. With experience, you may find that you can practise this in public, with your eyes closed, which greatly widens the window of opportunity for its use, and avoids attracting unwanted attention. I have found that the 2 - 3 minutes spent using the EMDR markedly reduces distractions to the relaxation process, and is repaid many times over. With experience, you may find that you can practise this in public, with your eyes closed, which greatly widens the window of opportunity for its use, and avoids attracting unwanted attention. You can also multitask, using the gazing technique, as you walk/jog or exercise, by focusing on a distant object, or just focus awareness on how each step feels, noting any thoughts which flash across your mind, without pursuing any particular train of thought, just gently redirect your focus to the task at hand. For some people, it helps to visualise of a quiet, relaxing scene, (Imagine, as vividly as you can, that you are on a tropical beach, reclining comfortably; you luxuriate, as the the sun warms you, and a gentle breeze caresses your skin lightly, inhaling the tangy, sea scented, salt laden spray from the sparkling, translucent, aqua waves, crashing on the white, coral beach sand, and feeling the hot sand slip through your fingers in one hand, sipping your favorite drink with the other; all the while, the seagulls call, swoop and cavort playfully overhead in a cloudless, azure sky: you feel just like one of them, free to soar and cartwheel, or just glide in the moist, heavy air, and that this moment will last forever ... ). Some people may find it helps when they listen to: Other suggestions: and the audio, as well as the printed version, at: and or the mountain river sounds. Take 4 Omega 3 fish oil supplements, daily, replacing 2 of them with cod liver oil supplements, or a teaspoonful of the oil (I spread mine on toast, and mask its strong taste with fishpaste, and pepper), in the winter months only. Those people who receive adequate exposure to sunlight, daily, won t need the vitamin D from cod liver oil, but many people, particularly those in latitudes far from the equator, find this difficult, to achieve. Eat healthily, in accordance with your quot;nutritional typequot; as determined at SEARCHBAR. Ginseng (Panax Ginseng (Chinese/Korean/Japanese), panax quinquefolius (American) Eleutherococcus senticosus (Siberian)). It is also known as man root, life root and heal all. Lady s Slipper (Cypripedium pubescens) Lady s slipper is one of the most widely applicable nerviness available. It can be used in all stress reactions, emotional tension and anxiety states. Try having a cup of quot;Tension Tamerquot;, herbal tea, by Celestial Seasonings, (from supermarket tea, or health food aisles) or make some at home, and cool, then bottle, and drink as needed (I find it so strong tasting, that I need to drink it quickly, followed by something like fruit juice, to take away the taste, but others may find it more tolerable). C(h)amomile tea is a more palatable option. As with all herbal/green teas, use lemon/lime, and/or a little sweetener (NOT ARTIFICIAL!!!) but no cream, or milk. Xylitol, or Stevia is preferable, (health food stores) or fruit sugar (fructose, such as quot;Fruisanaquot;, from supermarket sugar aisles) or even a little honey, because these will reduce quot;sugar spikesquot;, which later deplete you of energy. Minimise/eliminate consumption of highly processed foods, particularly grain products, such as white bread, donuts, cake, cookies/biscuits, or anything with sugar. Opt for more wholefoods, non-starchy vegetables, and fruit. Light to moderate daily exercise helps fight stress. and depression is addressed in section 2; view page R first.
Counseling would probably help, but if he is alone, lonely and worried, the best medicine would be getting out and being involved in something. Whether it is taking a kid fishing, or going to church related outings or whatever is appropriate to his interests. Get him involved and busy if you can and he is bound to feel more productive and less lonely.
Family Physician, if the doc states that he has quot;Depressionquot;, ask the doctor to refer him to a physchiatrist, they treat mental health issues.

Hi! I would go and describe these symptoms to a Dr. they sound like you may need a cat scan or somthing. it could be somthing wrong. also, go to WebMD.com and see if there is anything there that describes what you are feeling. that may help you understand. Make sure you are taking a vitamin, and getting enough sleep. Sleep does wonders for the body.
How old are you? Although it s hard to say since you don t give a lot of information, it sounds like you might need to be checked for mono. Read this and see if it sounds like you: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mononucleos...
Could it be your diet? Try cutting down your carbs and eating as much raw fruit and vegetables as possible. As far as memory goes, oily fish such as mackrel or sardines are good brain food.
stop watching tv and exercise, walk, whatever, it will be VERY difficult at first but after a while you will see your energy levels rise a lot!
Unplug your TV. This device wipes people out and keeps them from doing anything outside. Removing this device from your pattern will help you but not cure you.
either you have a disease called quot; Alzheimer squot; or stop smoking weed.
er? Doctors are more knowledgeable about treating people. If they can t figure it out then maybe you have hysteria.
you have gyno hepra rectum ballsic flu
Do you have breast? I think u have klinefelter syndrome
MMMMM did u forget what you wrote? if i write sumthing ure gona forget so why bother good luck!
WHAT IS MY PROBLEM PLEASE ?? these are my sypmptoms...? -
You need to have your blood sugar checked.
I think you ought to go and consult your doctor.
its definity dibetes. my friend had the same symthoms and when he wen to check his blood test, it was high! i really do feel sorry for you and i think you should try getting a blood test by your doctor. if you have got dibetes then you will get a wristband showing that you do indeed have dibetes. don t take it off. good luck m8!
Donate your body, it should keep the professors baffled for a long time.
Hi if you have hypertension then you need to ALWAYS take your B.P. tablets not just when you think you will. The new symptoms you are getting after eating could be anything from indigestion to diabetes go to your G.P and get it checked out if it is bothering you .
I wish Iwas a doctor and could help you out. My best advice is to check out some medical resouces on the web, such as www.webmd.com Or just search your symptoms. Unfortunately, as I ve learned through past experiences, it s best not to self-diagnose and to see a professional, just in case. There are so many ailments that have almost identical symptoms that only lab tests can identify the true problem. Good luck and take care of yourself.
Go and get checked out by a doctor...don t rely on wannabes on the internet, your health is too important.
Paying attention to the early signs and symptoms of hyperglycemia can help you treat the condition promptly. Watch for: Frequent urination Increased thirst Dry mouth Blurred vision Fatigue Nausea Please check with your doctor for hypocount.
you sound like a right barrel of laughs
diabetes , it could be diabetes . feeling dizzy after eating and dry mouth . i dont know though u should see a doc
It s probably the cervical spondylitis. From my own experience, I suffer the same from time to time and the dizziness often puts me to bed for days on end. Migraine is something I get because of it too, so it is all linked. Have you tried imigran tablets, or codeine as a painkiller. Go to bed though and sleep off the effects of the medication as you wont feel any better by taking them initially. I just give in gracefully and take medication and go for a sleep or at least a lie down for couple of hours.
Ignore the fist couple of stupid answers!! (eejits!) Sounds possibly like diabetes but please go and get a blood test Lloyd s pharmacy do a free diabetes test (well I think it s free) or go to your doctor
