Well I would recommend you talk to him and keep trying till he understands just how concerned you are.. I would also say have him make another appt with his General Practitioner and talk to him about it and re check him to make sure he is not developing DM... good luck and best wishes...
Your husband will get fat like I did drinking soda, diet as well. The body is in resting state at night and the soda causes the blood sugar to rise, which means he will toss and turn coz it is not resting as it should be, and the caffiene in the soda increases his thirst. I drink a liter of water every night but I take lithium. Tell him to drink water, he needs to train his body and ween himself off the soda which will make him quite ill in the coming years.
He should probably go back to the doc and have another physical at his age he needs one every year. He might be dehydrated so maybe if he drinks more water during the day it would help. Get some flavor packets to put in it to make it taste better. He might just have the need to flush the sugar of the soda out of his body. Water would be a good idea.
He might be anemic..They stay thirsty.
You women are always looking for a reason to complain... Let him be!!!!
he s just a caffeine junkie. lol! he really needs to stop drinking all that soda. caffeine will delete the calcium from him bones. the sugar content of the soda can make him gain weight. the acid in the soda will eventually ruin his kidneys not to mention what it will do to his teeth. he really needs to just drink water when he gets thirsty at night. soda will actually make a person thirsty. after 30 years of marriage i don t know if he will ever listen to you. (i m not trying to be rude or disrespectful). maybe you can get a dr to talk to him about it. good luck hun and have a good Christmas!!
