Your weightloss seems very reasonable. You can always expect to lose more if you weigh more. Don t be discouraged if in the future it seems like your weightloss is standing still. You will have to do something different with your routine if you slow down in weight loss.
I would continue the workouts but you probably need more calories. Remember, you want to replace fat with muscle. Muscle weighs more than fat so get off the scales and use a tape measure and your mirror to judge your progress, not just how much you weigh.
Don t worry you are a teenager, at this age you tend to lose weight much faster than at age 30 amp; onwards. But still if you think you are losing much more then normal then since you are already on a diet, may be exercise only what you can handle don t push it. May be burning 300 - 350 calories is good enough. You are already doing things right so don t worry amp; enjoy life to the fullest.
It is normal to lose quickly the first week or two. Anything over 3 pounds a week is too fast. Just make sure you eat a healthy balance of fruits, vegetables, dairy, and fat. I would recommend that you get into a program like Weight Watchers, where you can get guidance on the correct way to lose weight.
weigh yourself in the morning right after you pee and do it naked. that s going to tell you your real results.
i think you should increase your calories just a little bit. other than that it sounds like you are being really smart about losing the weight and staying fit as well.
They say up to 3lbs a week is healthy. If it stays consistant and you continue to lose that or more...I d suggest eating a bit more calories. When you burn close to a thousand calories and only eat 2 thousand...your body doesn t have a lot to run on. Just keep tabs on it. I think you are fine. When you first start losing the first 10 or so comes off the fastest. Good luck!
usually when a person just starts working out and going on diets they tend to lose derastic weight it will start to slow down and be harder to loseweight because u will be in better shape and ur body is use to the workouts and ur eating habits! nothing is wrong ur doing fine! hope this helps!
It might be hereditary, same thing happen to me. I went from 205 to 170 in a few months, but it happens to everybody in my family. Plus remember, youre eating heathy and working out. Losing weight isnt uncommon with that combination.
not fast
First off, congrats on taking the first step to being healthy. I am not a doctor but I have been on many fad diets and I know from experience that the best way is the way you are doing it. You have to change your whole life. 2,000 calories for a male is excellent. Staying away from junk food is great. At first you will lose a lot of weight. Within 4 weeks or so, you should see that weight loss decrease into a steady rate of about 1 to 2 pounds. Working out is great for your entire body BUT not everyday. Contrary to popular wieght loss belief, working out obsessively or every day, etc. doesn t give your body/muscles time to rest up enough and it becomes counter productive for you, actually beginning to break down the muscle tissue. Also, be sure to mix up the work out routine. Some cardio followed by some weights (w/out straining yourself. light weights w/ a lot of reps). Alternate these things. Give yourself at least 2 days in the week that you rest and check w/ your doctor to make sure that what you do is ok for your current health. Take care and good luck w/ this great life change!
No thats fine. If your losing pounds per day thats just water weight. Healthy is about 5 pounds a week max.
3 lbs in a week for your height and weight does not sound excessive to me, especially given your eating and exercise which appears within a healthy range. Maybe you should weigh yourself less frequently so that you know for sure whether progress is actually being made or changes are better accounted for by changes in fluids. Good luck with your goal.
My doc said losing 2-5 lbs per week is good.
no, you are not doing what my mom did she lost weight way to fast only in a couple of months she lost all the weight she wanted and it lift her with a lot of skin, so no you are not losing to much weight to fast in fact you are doing a fine job.
as long as your eating noraml, then no, its not to fast. i bet most of that weight loss is from water weight, fat stores a lot of water, that on top of exercising, it seems to you that you are losing a huge amount of weight to fast. as long as your eating normal and healthy, and drinking plenty of fluids, no problem. its better to record a longer term for the actual weight loss trend to see how it is.
dude i m 15 too, 3 pounds a week means your doing good and losing weight, that s normal. weighing after exercise is water weight, not real weight. don t weigh yourself daily, do it weekly because it varies from a daily basis. i m trying to get in shape too, could you tell me what you do? j/w.
I don t know, but I am jealous lol. Last week I ate barely anything amp; I lost nothing . Don t become obsessed with your weight, but just eat healthy amp; exercise if you want. No girl likes an anorexic guy, so make sure you are still bulky!
u r losing ur weight 2 fast and this might bring bulemia 2 u. try drinking less water by eating more fruits. its more heatheir
It is very normal to lose between 3 and 5 pounds the first couple of weeks. And you are only 14 or 15 so your body is changing anyway. So I think the contribution of both of those things is making you lose that amount of weight right now. But don t go overboard with it, you are young and you shouldn t be having to worry about all this weight stuff right now.
no as long as ur doing it healthy as in not being anorexic or balimic then ur fine also the 1/2 pound diff is prob just water in ur system because water will weigh u down a lil... u seem to be fine. dont worry too much keep up the good work
It s very easy to lose weight very quickly for males. However, there is a drop-off point, where you will level out, or possibly even gain a little more weight. If you are worried, ask one of the personal trainers at the gym, they should be able to help. Good luck.
I think ur healthy so far, if u continue to loose weight rapidly then u can worry so far I think it just may be water weigth and such, in 3 weeks if ur weight seems to have dropped below 185 lbs u shuold probably see a doctor
