I am 24years old male suffering with hypertension amp;thyriod. I am a student. I am getting my treatment with a cardiologist for hypertension. The doctor done all the tests and said that all the reports are normal. And he prescribed me Amlopres 5mg tablet to take daily. my BP is 140/100. The doctor did not tell me the exact reason. If my reports r normal y should i take the tablets. Now its been 11months there is no change in my Blood pressure. i want to know that is the cardiologist the right doctor to treat me for my hypertension?
Cardiologist for hypertension and endocrinologist for the diabetes.
Get a second opinion, your BP is still considered high according to the new standards.
