My mother aged 50 has Mildly dilated LV,MILD TR, MILD PAH . evrythn else normal ,wat is the danger involvd? -

HER Renal Doppler , ULTRASOUND , CHEST XRAY all normal.Doctors say that she has just Essential Hypertension. from sometime she is experiencing SLIGHT bresthing problem while resting during day time?Whgat cud be the cause?Plz tell me at the earliest?

hi the echo results are essentially normal her dyspnoea is not due to cardiac disease you have to rule out other causes, especially pulmonary better take her to a pulmonologist drjctmd

It is good that her hypertension has been diagnosed, and presumably the doctor is treating that as well. However, her echocardiogram results are not exactly normal, and that could be related to her breathing problem. Congestive heart failure is one cause of shortness of breath while lying down, although it is not the only one, and sometimes the diagnosis is not easy to make. If you would like to get another opinion about her symptoms and her echocardiogram results, a cardiologist would be a good person to see. Good luck, and I hope she feels better soon.
