If I have Hypertension can I drink alcoholic beverages ? -

Here we go again!! ASK YOUR DOCTOR!! He knows you and your health history. People on this site do NOT. Medical advice may NOT be the same in all cases, so consulting with your own doctor is necessary. PLEASE do. Chow!!

Probably a little wine sparingly. It is not a good idea to drink hard liquor.

I wouldn t advise it especially if you re on blood pressure medicine. Yes, you quot;canquot; but no, you shouldn t.

Yes, preferrably red wine. 1-2 glasses per day can have a beneficial effect on the cardiovascular system. Check with a doc or pharmacist, though, if you are taking meds for hypertension, to make sure there is no bad reaction. Of course, 1-2 glasses should be your limit. It s not good for anyone to drink to excess, high blood pressure or not.

no

No, it will raise your blood pressure and make any medication you take for it of no use.

Depends on medication and also the severity of the hypertension...best to ask your physician to prevent side-effects from your drugs.

I also have hypertension and i drink moderately
