Can you get hypertension from impacted wisdom teeth? -

My left lower wisdom tooth is visible but the lower right is impacted on its side under the gum. My lower jaw feels like it is being clenched together and I always feel a slight throbbing where the teeth are. Can this cause my blood pressure to rise? I m only covered by medicaid and don t know if dental is even covered under it to have them removed.

Impacted wisdom tooth cannot lead to the condition termed as hypertestion. impacted tooth does causes pain in certain cases as it applies pressure on the rest teeth and therby its advisable to get a dental check up and get rid of the impacted tooth so that the remaining teeth are in healthy condition.

Your blood pressure can rise when you are in any type of pain. Headaches, toothaches, back, leg - any.... you should be careful because of course high blood pressure can lead to other issues - stroke!! Take care of that as soon as you can!

Any kind of pain does cause an increase in blood pressure, yes. I don t know about your medicaid question, but as for pain, yes, it causes and increase in blood pressure.
