High blood pressure and kidneys? -

MY mom has excessive urine output. She have hypertension. She goes to the bathroom at 12 times a day and 3 times At night. What wrong with her kidneys?

Is her hypertension being treated with a diuretic?

There could be a few answers. The 1st that comes to mind is: The kidney play an important role in the regulation of BP. If high blood pressure is too high, simply speaking you may develop polyuria, or frequent urination. This, again put simply, is the bodies was of removing fluid. In the flip of this, if your BP is low, ADH, is released (anti-diuretic hormone) which quot;tellsquot; the kidneys to decrease urine production to hold onto fluid to increase the BP.

Maybe nothing. She needs close attention by a doctor.
