Trust me on this. I ve taken many nutrition classes and lost 50 pounds in 6 months and have kept it off for years. The main idea is to burn more calories than you’re taking in. It s impossible to teach you everything I ve learned in this little answer box, so I ll just simplify it as best I can. #1 Drink water! First of all, your mind has a hard time knowing the difference between hunger and thirst until you are 2% dehydrated. So when you re looking through a pantry for a snack, its often because you re actually thirsty. It s also an appetite suppressant, and every time you drink water instead of soda or lemonade, you re not downing an entire cup of sugar and carbs with it. Just be sure to drink water often throughout the day. #2 Apples, though not necessarily low in carbs, they keep you full for longer than other foods. Its a good rule of thumb that the less a food is messed with, the healthier it is. For example, apple juice is better than punch, apple sauce is better than juice, and an apple is better than apple sauce. Get it? Gum also gives you something to chew and taste that doesn t give you tons of extra carbs either. The last meal you should eat at night depends on when you go to sleep, but it should be a few hours (3 or 4) before you go to bed. A small snack just before bed isn t so bad, but of course, its better if you don t. #3 Read food labels! The more you do, the more you ll learn what is considered high or low concerning fat, sugars, carbs, and protein. #4 Exercise. When people ask me what s more important, diet or exercise, its like asking which wing would you rather have when flying a plane. You need both. Great tip: if you walk for 20 min before you eat in the morning, you burn 3 times more fat than if you run later on in the day after you eat. Then take a shower and get ready before you have breakfast, because the fat continues to burn for another hour. A quick ab workout is ideal after you walk since your core is already a little cut up from a walk or a run. (don t walk too hard, it should be enjoyable. but the idea is to get the heart pumping more than usual) Also, excercise is a natural anti-depressant. #5 Remember, its not a diet. Its a change of lifestyle and the way you think. There is no such thing as a quick fix. Be patient and CONSISTANT. Those are the key words. And if you do it easy, then you ll never get burned out and you ll do it for the rest of your life. That s the best I can give you for now. If you ever get the chance, take a nutrition class, and/or get an exercise trainer. Good luck!
This may not be the best answer but there is no fast way to lose weight besides lap band etc., well that I know of. Unless you starve yourself or risk your health from those so-called diet pills then you must do a little exercise with a healthy diet. I m not saying running two blocks but even if you start out by walking the block, is some exercise. Once you ve conquered one block try walking two and so on. I m no expert or anything but when I started exercising years ago I did as much research as I could. What you cannot do not do any exercise at all and expect to lose weigh, if you can eat healthy (unlike) me then it ll be easier for you. Losing weigh takes time and commitment it s not an over night thing and please don t think so. Figure out a few light exercises that you can do.
i wouldnt belive the eating time thing, obviosuly dont eat loads and loads juts before bed, but just as long as you have an hour at least after eating before you go to bed thats fine, it doesnt matter what time as such. ways to lose weight are however strange it seems to eat frequently, never go more than 3 hours without food. bear in mind healthy food.keep it as natural as possible. i found when dieting if i had the slightest type or processed sugary food that would trgger a big binge. natural foods, never have this effect. i mean, i cant imagine bingeing on fruits and veg, or things like brown rice e.t.c. good snacks: hummus veg dips, apples with peanut butter, oat cakes spread with tahini. fruit! you shouldnt lose it really fast, your just get loose skin so yeh your have less fat but have saggy arms, so combine it with little weight training, if you cant exercise. exercise could simply be walking for 20 mins though, if you do this youd see an effect even. good luck, eat atleast 1500 cals a day, and try to walk a bit more than usual and just get a little dumbell or even use soup cans e.t.c for light weight training.
Do an easy workout - AKA walk at a decent pace for 20-30 minutes a day and work your way up over a few months to the point where you can jog it. Don t buy or be around unhealthy snacks. Buy a bunch of carrots and celery and such so that whenever you want a snack that s all you ve got - plus they re tasty. No ranch dressing though unless its fat free. Don t eat an anytime within an hour of going to bed. Avoid sugar. The exercise will work wonders on the depression, too.
Why can t you exercise? I m sorry to say losing weight is going to be very hard and unhealthy if you quot;can tquot; exercise in some way. Walking counts, you know. Walk everywhere you can.
i don t eat fast food, or soda, i take hydroxycut, and i don t exercise much, but i do get out and move. my last meal is around 7:00pm cuz my mom comes home late.
i was a little chubby so i cut my calories to abou 650 a day and now i weigh 87 lbs without any exercise.
