I had hypertension, and its gone.? -

I had it for 2 years, and it s gone now. Can I stop taking medicine? It has been 4 months since I last take my medicine. Everything seems OK now.

Your BP is lowered and within normal range because of your anti-hypertensive medication. The problem with essential hypertension is that generally medication is needed for the rest of your life to manage it and keep it within normal range. Chances are if you stopped taking it, your BP would rise again. Certainly do not discontinue any mediation without speaking to your Doctor first.

When you stop the medicine, hypertension may come back. Hypertension is a silent killer. You may check the functions of the kidney(for microalbuminuria, creatinine), heart (for hypertrophy) and retina (for hypertensive retinopathy) periodically.

I certainly would not recommend coming of medication without first discussing this with your Doctor. How do you know it s away? Have you had your blood pressure checked regularly? Speak to your Doctor

talk to your doctor. It can be dangerous to stop medication.

yeah you re cured Hallelujah!!!!
