Herbal remedy for treating hypertension? -

none of them really work that well, if at all. youre better off just getting a prescription, most BP meds are under $20/month, lots are under $10 unless you get a newer one. and they actually work...

hydrochlorothiazide is a common diuretic, you could get it for under $10 at a lot of pharmacies tell your doc you need cheap. a few studies have found fish oil can lower blood pressure slightly, ~5-10 mmHg, not that good. you could try the garlic thing, doubt it works Report Abuse

Fresh garlic is pretty good at lowering it, you can cook it but make sure you get it off the bulb and not from a jar. Stay away from all pork products and black licorice. excercise and learn to control stress.

herbs are just as natural to your body as meds your doctor will prescribe. only with herbs they aren t regulated at all, and sometimes you get a lot of what s helpful and others that have way too much. plus the side effects are labled, but there are still ALWAYS side effects. if you have hypertension, get good exercise and eat right and see your doctor to get real blood preasure meds.

Garlic is the most common one. Find more at http://www.ayurvediccure.com/bloodpressu...

I haven t found a lot of herbs I d be willing to try, but I keep toying with Resperate. Check it out.
