Health anatomy amp; physiology? -

A patient is in her 25th week of pregnancy and has developed hypertension and is showing signs of edema and protein , especially albumin, in the urine. Her doctor diagnoses her problem as eclampsia, and tells her it is due to the blood vessels failing to dilate to the proper extent. How would this problem (constricted vessels) produce the symptoms being observed?
