Why do high sodium diets may aggravate hypertension? -

The high sodium diets aggravating hypertension has never been proven in a scientific study, so says the food industry. The problem with salt is not really salt. It is the chemicals they put in and how they treat the salt and get rid of all the other good nutrients found in combination with salt. Our bodies need salt and use it for some very important functions. Salt is what helps our stomachs to produce stomach acid. The Cl- (chlorine ion) in NaCl (salt) is where the HCL gets a lot of it s chlorine ion. The problem is that when you eat the table salt you buy in local stores, it is depleted of any nutrition and is not good for you. The best salt is quot;pink sea salt.quot; This is made from a combination of Mediterranean sea salt and Hawaiian Red sea salt. The combination of these two salts is wonderful and very good for you. You can actually get rid of cradle cap in an infant by giving the 1/2 tsp. of pink sea salt every day and in about 4 or 5 days, the cradle cap will be gone. Try that with the white, blanched, bleached out, table salt you buy in a store; it simply doesn t work. So the answer is to eat about 1 tsp. or more of the sea salt each day, it s very good for you.

Salt is good for you if you use salt that has not been stripped of is natural occuring minerals. But to much sodium causes us to retain fluid and when we retain fluid it puts pressure on our vital organs, blood vessels and such which in return causes our blood pressure to rise. That is whats not good for us.
