Anyone Pregnant and has Hypertension? (High Blood Pressure)? -

I have had some HTN problems after I gave birth with my 3 children. Matter of fact I was Dx. with post partem pre-eclampsie. 3 or 4 months after babys born my pressure usually goes back to normal. I know I am considered high risk due to Hx. of HTN and I am also 36 years old. My husband and I would really like to try again, for a boy. Also we just want four kids. I am overweight (working on that) but has anyone here had HTN issues while pregnant and was able to take meds without any problems during pregnancy? I know poss risk, but my husband and myself monitor my BP almost everyday already, and it is not like we are going to sit @ home and let something go bad wrong. I know it could, and I understand that. We are both into EMS so like I said we check my pressure very often. Can I take BP meds and be pregnant? I really want one more!

i had the same problem when i was pregnant with my last child.dont let this stop your descision on having another baby, and yes there are meds to take while you are pregnant to lower your bp. worse case sinario if it gets to bad they will put you on a higher grade of meds and if you only have a few weeks to go and it does get to high they will induse you. so dont let this stop you . happy baby planning to you
