Can someone with hypertension do strenuous activities? -

Someone with hypertension needs to exercise under the guidelines of their doc.

it is better for u to consult a doctor to know how much exercise u can do. this is because having hypertension means there are extra load on ur heart so u would not want to burden further ur heart.

It depends on high the hypertension is. Exercise is good for people with HTN. Speak to the physician and ask for a referal to a PT to set up an exercise plan. HTN meds can mask abnormal exercise reponses to heart rate so is important to know the medications and other underlying pathology. Also anyone with HTN, should be checked for sleep apnea as well. We do not know what comes first like the chicken and the egg, OSA vs. HTN. Best wishes

A soft answer of yes... ***BUT*** only after checking with your Dr first and working into it slowly.

Hypertension in the form of anxiety ? then yes, a way to ward off the extra energy like in exercises. Always check with the doctor or watch yourself with a blood pressure cuff and don t over do it.
