Eye pressure is 33 and 30 and Im wondering if anyone has some thoughts on high blood pressure and high eye pr? -

Hi folks. I ve read the responses on this and was wondering if my case is about the same. Just came back from a blue light test at an Opt s office and my pressure was 33 and 31 respectively. I also have a history of mild hypertension and was wondering if there s a good chance of that being a leading cause. Thanks,

NO...you could easily think they are related but they have nothing to do with each other. High pressure in the eyes signals Glaucoma...do you have a family history of Glaucoma, maybe your Grandma or someone has it?... You will be monitored and possibly tested further if this is the first time your eye pressure has come up high. Did they give you some drops, or refer you to an Opthamologist...this is what should happen next. I had a severe case of Acute Glaucoma some years ago. My eye pressure was up to 48 and I had a headache that wouldn t go away and also constant nausea...It was kinda scary and my eye (only had it in one eye) felt like it was going to burst. Luckily it was diagnosed before any damage was done and my sight is fine but I still get tested for it every year or two just to be sure.
