Im a type 1 diabetic with high blood presure and I think my kidneys are acting up-Please help!!? -

I am a type 1 diabetic with hypertension who has been seeing a kidney specialist for about 1 1/2 years now.In december of 2007 I went to the kidney dr. and my Blood urea nitrogen was 40 and my creatinine was 1.3 which they said was a little high, well I started some medications and my kidney function returned to normal, blood urea nitrogen at 18, (which is normal) and my creatinine was 0.6 which is excellent. My question is this,I ve been getting alot of backaches,my right ankle swells alot(dr.says if it is kidneys both ankles will swell),my blood pressure will go up really high and then bottom out (one morning upon waking my bp was 151/ 90 and then within 3 hours it was 80/60.I feel sick to my stomach alot and I have lost my appetite, however when I had my kidneys checked about 3 weeks ago my blood urea nitrogen was 30 which again is high (18 is the high end of normal) and my creatinine was 0.9 which is still within normal ranges (1.1 is the high end of normal). So to anyone out there who knows anyone with kidney problems could you please help me? By the way,my mom was a type 1 diabetic that died 9 years ago from kidney failure (she did not know that she had it until her kidneys completely stopped working and they started her on meds to help start her kidneys but she died before she could even start dialysis.) But everyone keeps telling me that I am not my mother and to stop worrying so much. But between the backaches and the severe headaches I can t stand the pain any longer.PLEASE HELP!!!

Go back to the doctor. You sound like you could possibly have a kidney infection. This will cause backaches, nausea and loss of appetite. Many times an infection will cause stress on the body, which in turn will cause a higher blood pressure than usual. Kidney infections can be extremely painful, I have had my share of them, but they can be treated with antibiotic. Check with your doctor asap, they are nothing to play around with.

Go back to the doctor and get everything checked. I would change your blood pressure medicine. It doesn t sound like it s working for you. I m on Lisinipril and has been a nice one. Good luck.

I am so grateful that I came across your question. I am 100% positive that I can help you. I have a few things that will get rid of your back aches without any drugs or pharmaceuticals. Nikken has a few patented magnetic products that would do miracles for your back aches: the back-flex and magsrides. Here is some great information on them: as for your headaches, there are two things that would help dramatically: peaceful sleep and good healthy water. You should avoid reverse osmosis and tap water. They are extremely acidic and would increase your tendency for headaches. PiMag water is what I would recommend: for your sleep, I would recommend that you look into this system; it s the only one in the world recommended by the World Federation of Chiropractic: on the issue of your kidneys, the PiMag water would do wonders for you, as well as Lactofferin Gold1.8 (Jade GreenZymes (and the Kenzen Detoxifying Cleanse (you have anymore questions email me and I would be happy to help you! If you would live more information or testimonials, or would like to learn where to purchase these products, feel free to email me.
