DESPERATELY need hypertension HELP in Ontario, Canada? -

I hope someone can help me out. My mother has been suffering from high blood pressure for about a year. She has seen a doctor and she is taking medication. Still, often her blood pressure sky rockets out of control and she gets dizzy and feels strange. She lives in a very small town and can t get any help from the doctors there. Her family doctor actually told her that, quot;...everybody has to die someday...quot; and he advised her to get rid of her home high blood pressure kit. She is only 55!! She s so embarrassed, she doesn t want to go see him again. We need to find a clinic as soon as possible. I m so afraid that she ll have another stroke. Thank you for your answers.

Forget the family doctor, I would suggest taking your mother to the hospital to have her checked out.

I am so sorry to hear about your health concern.. Make a few phone calls to clinics in or close to Toronto / Mississauga.. Tell them what the situation is and when they can see your mother.. you would most likley have to drive her down.. Also.. What your mothers physician said was absolutely unprofessional and unethical.. I suggest you contact your lawyer best of luck to you

If the blood pressure won t goes down, watch her diet and try shedding some lbs off ! Lots of citrus fruits will definately helps. What doctors normally do is they just increase the medication dozage, it s useless ! and that family doctor of yours.....is he really a DOCTOR ? Check him out !!! My b/p reading was 209/165, but i survived the stroke last year.

Hypertension that is not controlled even by medication is very dangerous. She needs to be hospitalized for closer and better observation. Get her to a hospital, not a clinic and report her doctor to the board of medicine in Canada. Perhaps there is a horse doctor job for him somewhere else.
