How effective is Nutriprem milk feed in aiding low birth weight babies? -

My daughter was born at 32 weeks gestation, she is now three weeks old (or 35 weeks gestation) and weighs 1.36kg. She was born by emergency ceasarean section because she had IUGR and I had Pregnancy Induced Hypertension plus kidney function issues. She is being cared fr on a special care baby unit.

Firstly congratulations !!! If you can breastfeed or express milk then do it, your body knows that the baby was early and will provide milk accordingly. My best friends baby was born at 34 weeks and had failed to grow inside since 30 weeks he was started on Nutriprem at 2 weeks he thrieved and at 18 months he is now a really health chunk. Good Luck

Hi! My son was born at 32 weeks amp; had that milk. It is higher in carbs than ordinary formula. I guess your daughter is gaining weight amp; thriving now that she s 3 weeks old.
