I have constantly changing blood pressure it varies between 150 t0 120 within minutes does this hypertension? -

Your systolic pressure will vary from minute to minute as it not only reflects peripheral resistance but also the force of cardiac ejection. During vigorous activity your heart will be working harder and your systolic will rise. It will be at its lowest laying quietly in bed at night. If you check it repeatedly in quiet periods of your day and it is over 140 consistently it is abnormal. Readings of 150 are not something I would worry about. Restrict your salt and establish some pattern of aerobic workout or activity. Also get down to your ideal body weight.

First of all you didn t state if that was your systolic or diastolic. If that is your systolic (the 1st number-heart at work) then that little fluctuation *could be* just fidgeting or quot;white coat syndromequot;... Remember feet flat on the floor and relax before starting... for lack of an in depth description, your body should almost be limp... However, if that is the diastolic (the 2nd number-heart at rest), you definitely need to get to your emergency room asap... I wouldn t even drive myself out of fearing a stroke on the way. Generally in adults hypertension is any consistent reading above 140/90

blood pressure may vary from time to time. it also depends on what position you take. also there are two readings which one are you referring to if it is the diastolic which is the second digit then i believe it is too high. you may have hypertension if this is occurring over a period of time. i think you should go to a doctor to get diagnosed in the mean time, check out this site. they give great tips on how to deal with hypertension. try the link below http://www.beatinghypertension.com/natur...

are you changing position? like going from lying to sitting or sitting to standing???? you should be in the same position for about 5-10 minutes before taking a blood pressure......

Great question................for your doctor.
