Shooting pain in left arm? -

At about 11pm last night, my boyfriend started complaining of a pain in his right shoulder. He told me this morning that it now is a shooting pain and goes from just about his wrist to his jaw. He has had heart problems in the past, and has a family history of hypertension and diabetes. He doesn t have insurance, so he can t quot;just go to the doctor.quot; He took some pain medication to see if that helps a few minutes ago. If it does help does that mean its not his heart? Should we just go to the ER?

Yes, Get help-NOW! Give him an aspirin too.

Go to the ER.

i do not have insurance either i still go to the er you are more important then any bill you should go to have your boyfriend checked out just for your peace of mind good luck

i would go to er, better to be safe. good luck.

Shooting pains from the jaw to the wrist would signal cardiac problems, especially if the underside of his arm experiences the pain as well. Its possible it is only a pinched nerve, or he slept on his sore shoulder funny, but with a history of heart problems and hypertension he should certainly have it looked at.

Heart problems are supposed to be indicated by pains in the left shoulder and left arm, so I m not sure what the right arm may be an indication of. It could be a pinched nerve in his right shoulder from sleeping on his neck wrong. Is there any shortness of breath, nausea, dizziness? Those are other heart attack symptoms.

YES! Go to the hospital emergency room. That is definitely a sign of a heart problem. Give him some aspirin if you have it. That will thin his blood slightly if he is having a heart attack. We also dont have insurance but when it comes to something that is potentially life threatening I know it is worth it to go rather than lose someone and regret having not gone. You can make $10 payments on the final bill from the ER. I have even had them just absorb the cost of the bill after explaining my financial situation. Better to be safe, than sorry!!!

It sounds suspisciously like a pinched nerve, as radiating pain from a heart attack quot;usuallyquot; doesn t reach the wrist nor is it a quot;shooting painquot;, but if he has a history of heart problems, and is experiencing chest pain, nausea, or any other symptoms of a heart attack, then you really shouldn t take a chance. Take him to the ER just to be safe.

dear go to ER

Too many drugs man. he s having a heart attack. Dam! he needs insurance? but he could be having a heart attack, they wont let him die will they?

ER NOW!!!!!

Why don t you visit this website - - you may find good information which is very authentic too.

Symptoms of a heart attack include pain in the jaw, all the way down the arm. Go to the ER and worry about payment later. Have him pop an aspirin before you go.

yes, go to the doctor, especially if it gets worse. you can never be too safe....after all, who cares if he doesnt have insurance...he s a human being and he has rights! what if its life threatening? better safe than sorry!
