Occluded arteries (going to the brain)? -

my grama recently went to the doctor where they found that she had a 75% occluded artery they put her on plavix and raised the level of her hypertension, and cholesterol medicines.. As of her test results two weeks ago she is now 90% occluded. she has an appointment to see a doctor specializing in the surgery to clean out her artery in about 3 weeks... i ve researched this and the treatment so i know what it is, but what im asking here is what can we do in the mean time to help prevent a stroke (other than what the doctors have done medicine wise) and make sure she can make it to surgery and recover safely afterwards... any other information would be greatly appreciated..

have her relaxed, and have her on a steady diet... i ll tell you why, the less stress she has, the less anxiety she ll have.... having anxiety cause the heart to race.... have that done will rapidly pump blood to the sensitive arteries in the brain...not just that, but the low cholesterol reduces the clotting in the arteries. so overall, just try not to stress her with any news and have her eat health. i hope this helps, i know it s easier to say than to do... believe me, i ve been there and done that.
