What is hypertension? -

Hypertension is high blood pressure. Normal blood pressure is considered 120/80 with some minor differences depending onthe person. Anything higher then this would be considered hypertension. There are several categories of blood pressure, including: Normal: Less than 120/80 Prehypertension: 120-139/80-89 Stage 1 hypertension: 140-159/90-99 Stage 2 hypertension: 160 and above/100 and above

Normal BP readings are as written in your first response, but hypertension is when the areteries are either narrowed by plaque and/or the vessels constricting or blood is needed in other parts of your body so the blood has to get there more quickly. Due to this the pressure of the blood flowing through is increased and can wear out your vessels and heart if left untreated for some time.

High blood pressure from eating too much animal fat.

CALM DOWN TAKE THINGS EASY DONT PANIC AND CUT OUT THE SALT INTAKE

Same as high blood pressure. Too much pressure, from the inside, on the arteries. Here s a site with more info:

It s high blood pressure, and if you have it this is what you do. If you re a smoker, quit. I know, easier said then done, but it ll definitely pay off in the long run, and not only regarding your blood pressure. If you re overweight; exercise and eat healthy. (www.3fatchicks.com -- it s my bible) Also, whether you re overweight or not, quit with the salt. Cut as much salt intake as possible, drink LOTS of water and not only will you probably look better, but you ll feel like a new person without all of the achyness. This is just assuming that you HAVE hypertension. Hope I helped!

hypertension is the medical term for high blood pressure.
