High blood pressure? -

my husband recently found out he is in stage one of hypertension and i need anything that can help to lower it. i know what he needs to stop like smoking and stuff but what vitamins or certain foods should he eat...he s 22 and MILDLY over weight

Is he under some stress? if yes get him treated by anxiolytics he will be fine. If he gives up smoking that all his worries are over. Control his weight by physical exercise and give him veg diet boiled for a week, he will be fine. Contact your doctor too.

It seems that your husband has already seen his doctor who has advised him of his hyper tension I would therefore assume the doctor has advised him what to do. High blood pressure can be a killer and it should not be ignored. Stress can cause it so any stress problems could be addressed by relaxation classes for intance. You are perfectly right by noting that SMOKING doesn t help this is because the effect it has on blood vessel walls. Fatty things which add to cholestrol levels should be cut down on. Start some light exercise and gradually build up to more regular stuff. This will help. There are drugs which can affect the blood pressure but these are definately through your doctor. All the best, take care.

salt is a major problem with hypertension and with alot of illnesses. a healthy diet, with chicken and fish, vegetables and fruit, and of course exercise is very important to help lower blood pressure

My grandma has that and she takes Lisinipril and stays away from salt. She has it pretty undercontrol. Good luck!
