How long do the effects of vicodin last? -

is it true that vicodin causes like pulmonary hypertension, making it harder to breathe? if so how long will this last for if i were to take one m357 (.5mg hydrocodone)?

Yes it can cause breathing trouble but, chances of that happening are slim to none. You should be fine. Those are the lowest dose of them anyway. Any effects from them will be gone in 6 to 10 hours depending on your metabolism.

So are you saying pain meds can cause pulmonary hypertension, I take methadone, and percocet would they have caused elevations? Report Abuse

if you are taking 1-vicodin 5/500 it the effects should start diminishing in about 2-3 hours. Usual dose depending on ailment being treated is 1-2 tabs every 4 to 6 hours as needed. The effects are always put on every drug it is not a guarantee that it will happen, but more of a disclaimer from the maker of the drug in case something does happen
