Headache with these symptoms? -

Sometimes, like twice or three times a month, i get headaches that last for two days or so. With these headaches, I become very sensitive to pain.. My back and neck starts aching.. I don t see very good things that are far from me.. and especially noise bothers me a lot! When somebody talks, it feels like they re yelling and I have to pop my ears frequently.. Anyways, is it migraine, hypertension or it may be something else?

Unless you have a severe case of hypertension, you wont really have those symptoms. It sounds like you are having tension headaches. Do they get worse when you are under stress? Taking a pain killer such as tylenol, advil or aleve, can help. You can help prevent them by getting sufficient amount of sleep, eating well, exercising, and getting your eyes checked to see if you need glasses or a change in prescription.

Headaches are very hard to narrow down to a type. Usually headaches that last for days on end and are nonresponsive to medications are classified as cluster headaches. The vision problems you mentioned make me think migraine though. I would start with having you eyes checked and start keeping a journal of your headaches so you can go to see a doctor with a good description of where, when, and how long they last.

It sounds very much like a migraine!
