When i go for run i get short of breath? -

i am a little bit overweight and i hae high blood pressure as well and i have hypertension. is it safe for me to run if i keep getting short of breath

I was once fit as when i was young however I gained weight and have since tried to return to a better figure. It s natural to run out of breath as I did on my firast week back to training but try to set goals that are realistic i.e. start lightly i.e. 20 min jog 3 times a week then progress to 30 min jogs after say 2 weeks. DONT set unrealistic goals at the begining otherwise you might just give up. Remember start light and increase your target.

You need to gradually get into a routine your body can adapt to. I would start by walking. Walk 30mins a day and longer if you can for a couple of weeks. Then start to jog for a couple of minutes and walk for five, jog for a couple of mins and walk for five minutes. Extend your jogging and lessen your walk time. Then start to run. Only for a short time at a time and walk in-between. Follow this pattern and you ll be running long distances in no time. Good luck.

um DUH thats WHY you run!! If you didnt get puffed, you wouldnt be doing anything to help your body. Being puffed is how you know if your working anything off of u. If you arent getting puffed, its not exercise.

Its because youre using lots of energy so you feel tired.

its safe it just means your not fit try jogging and working up to running
