I am 21 years old ... male... and in very good shape .. i exercise and eat right.. and play baseball...i have? -

over the last few months had many headaches and am lightheaded a lot... i have been seeing a doctor.. but i was just wondering if someone could tell me what the side effects are to isolated systolic hypertension...my blood pressure has consistently been 144ish/83ish... sometimes the systolic number is a lil higher... today when i had a stress test done the number reached the 160 s while the other number stayed relatively the same... i just want to know if headaches and lightheadedness could be causes by that... even though its not that relatively high... they said my heart was normal

Your blood pressure is a little high. And you need to check it about twice a day for seven days and document your readings. Eat lots of vegetables, fruits, skin less chicken and fish. Stay away from salt you can use fresh herbs to season your food. Drink plenty of water. And get a second opinion from another doctor if you continue to have headaches, and feeling lightheaded.

My best advise to you is talk to your Dr if he or she does not satisfy you then get a new Dr. You don t want just anyone giving u medical advise . Take care !
